Jason Ellis Jones

Jason Ellis Jones, age 41, of Rome, GA, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2021, in a local hospital.

Jason was born in Longview, TX, on September 22, 1979, son of the late Aletha Lynn Jones Austin. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rome and Floyd County and was raised by his grandparents, the late Kenneth and Glenda Fay Jones. Jason enjoyed watching and talking sports and was an avid wrestling fan.

Jason is survived by a sister, Becky Austin; a niece, Ginny Austin; aunts and uncles, Allen and Barbara Jones, Glenn and Tracy Jones, Dewayne Jones, Chele Glass and Christie and Mike Yow. A host of cousins and other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Jason will be Sunday afternoon, March 7, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in Wax Cemetery with Chaplain Marvin Richardson officiating.

Jason’s family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Salmon Funeral Home.
