Throughout the majority of his life, Tommy made significant contributions as a skilled brick mason, he also utilized his construction expertise to complete numerous carpentry projects. His professional journey also included a compassionate side, as he was a Licensed Practical Nurse, where he found fulfillment in helping others. This duality of being both a builder and a caregiver shaped Tommy's identity and reinforced his commitment to the well-being of others.

An avid sports enthusiast, Tommy found great happiness in both playing and watching sports, displaying unwavering support for the Georgia Bulldogs, a passion that united him with fellow fans. His love for animals was also a defining aspect of his character, as he enjoyed spending quality time with them, appreciating their companionship.

Tommy was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with those he loved. He is survived by his son, Sky Atkins, and his wife, Leann, of Cave Spring, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Cachua and Kaleigh Atkins, as well as four great-grandchildren who brought joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Brooks Atkins, their son, Jody Brooks, and his parents, Albert and Louise White Atkins. These losses marked significant moments in his life, yet his enduring spirit resonated through the love he shared with his family.

Tommy Atkins will be remembered for his contributions to his community, his loving nature, and his unwavering dedication to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the stories they share.
