John Moss Harbour

John Moss Harbour, age 76, of Grayson, Georgia and a former Roman, passed away on March 7th, 2012 in Grayson.

A native of Rome, Mr. Harbour was born on December 12, 1935, the son of the late John H. and Mary E. Andrews Harbour. He had been a resident of Grayson, Georgia since 2005 moving there from Rome and was a graduate of Rome High School. Prior to retirement in 1979, Mr. Harbour was associated with General Electric of Rome. Mr. Harbour was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Anne Lefler.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jane Arnold Harbour to whom he was married in May 1956; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Greg Sheppard of Dahlonega, GA,; a son and daughter-in-law, Cale and Beth Harbour of Grayson, GA.; grandchildren, Austin Sheppard and his wife, Erin, Preston Sheppard, Jenna Harbour and Jacob Harbour; 2 brothers, Raymond Harbour of Powder Springs, GA. and Robert "Bob" Harbour of Las Vegas, Nev.; a special cousin, LaVerne Willis of Holly Hills, Florida. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for John Moss Harbour will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 7th, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. from the graveside of East View Cemetery in Rome with the Pastor Larry Biggers officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at funeral home from 12 noon until 2 o'clock.
