Jon Michael Ludwig, Sr., age 75, born on September 29, 1950, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in Rome, Georgia. He was a devoted family man and a hands-on enthusiast whose passion for working touched many aspects of his life.

Born to his loving parents: John N. Ludwig and Audrey J. Schuessler Ludwig, both of whom preceded him in death, Jon was also preceded in death by his loving wife whom he married on July 25, 1969, Nancy Beth Hacker Ludwig, who passed away on February 1, 2020, as well as two brother-in-laws: Ronald Seipp and Bill Hacker.

Mr. Ludwig is survived by his children: Lisa Harrington and her husband Ben of Rome, Georgia; Jon Ludwig, Jr., and his wife Debra Renee of Rome, Georgia and Simone Eldridge of Lancashire, England. He is also survived by his sisters: Lindy Whitton, Debbie Seipp and Diana Murawski- Hinz (Dean); brother, Jack Ludwig and his wife, Linda; grandchildren: Cassandra (Nathan) Roemer, Jack Ludwig, Laura Harrington (Neal), Lucas (Natalie) Ludwig, William Harrington and John David Harrington; greatgrandchildren: Hayley Roemer, Hayzel Roemer and Camille Ludwig.

In keeping with Jon's wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services are being planned at this time.

Jon Michael Ludwig, Sr.’s life was a testament to craftsmanship, dedication, and the joy found in both family and hands-on pursuits. He will be warmly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him and will remain forever in their hearts.
