Kenneth Dodd Earle, age 71, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his home following a brief illness. He was born at McCall Hospital in Rome on December 18, 1954 to John Dodd Earle and Doris Cunyus Earle. His parents, his bonus mother, Carolyn Anderson Earle and his sister, Karen Earle Smith preceded him in death.

Kenny grew up in the Old East Rome neighborhood and graduated from East Rome High School in 1972. Following high school, Kenny attended and was a graduate of Berry College where he was a student worker in the Physical Plant.

Like his father, Kenny loved building and fixing things and figuring out how to put things together. Along with his father, he owned and operated Earle Construction Company until his retirement. Kenny formed a close bond with many of the people he worked for and with, considering them like family. He learned from his father to take great pride in his work.

Kenny’s favorite things were fishing in the gulf, watching the sunset, eating good food with friends and family and spending time with his children and perfect grandchildren.

He was an avid supporter of his son’s sporting activities during their school years -traveling to football and baseball games and wrestling meets, volunteering in any capacity needed. Kenny served as a Cub Master for Cub Scouts Troop 113 for a number of years, organizing and chaperoning many camping trips and summer camps at Sidney Dew.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Blankenship Earle, his two sons; Mac Earle and wife Tara of Rome, GA and Danny Earle and wife Olivia of Loveland, CO; four grandchildren, Carter Oyler, Max Earle, Jackson Earle and Donna Earle. Also surviving is his brother, Dr. John Earle and wife Allison of Carrollton, GA; his wife’s family: Patrice and Michael White, Tom and Janet Blankenship, Tara Nolan, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday January 15, 2026 at First United Methodist Church of Rome, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM in the sanctuary with the service following at 3:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Kenny's wish that contributions be made to the Community Kitchen of Rome, 3 Central Plaza, Suite 384, Rome, GA 30161.

The staff at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve and care for the family of Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Dodd Earle.
