Mr. Kenneth W. "Ken" Falls, age 74, of #111 Timms Road NE, Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Tuesday morning, November 15th, 2011 in Gordon Hospital in Calhoun.

Mr. Falls was born in Gordon County, July 13th, 1937, the son of the late James Falls and the late Ruth Massingill Falls. He was employed as a service manager in the automobile business for more than 40 years in Rome and other dealerships in the area and for a period of time Ken was associated with Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home. Ken graduated from Armuchee High School in 1956. Ken was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church (Rosedale Community), where he served on the deacon board, as choir director, Sunday School teacher and other positions. Ken and his family were former residents of Rome and Floyd County. Mr. Falls was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Falls in 1962 and by a special son-in-law, Philip Barnette in June 2011.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Ables Falls; son Randy Falls and his wife, Donna and family including son, Jamie and family, daughter, Tiffany and family all of Calhoun; daughter, Michelle Barnette of Calhoun and her son, Harley Falls Barnette of Macon; son, Bill Falls and his wife Melanie and family, including daughters, Emily and Erin Falls, their mother and step-father, Laura and Tony Branam all of Rome; one sister, Judy Falls Weeks of Rome; one nephew, Joseph Weeks and family of Decatur; one niece, Carie Warren and daughter, Emma of Rome. Survivors also include other extended family, friends and staff and residents of Gordon Health Care in Calhoun.

Funeral services for Kenneth W. "Ken" Falls will be held on Friday afternoon, November 18th, 2011 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home in Rome with the Rev. Mark Butler and the Rev. Matt Futch officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at Rosedale.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Harley Falls Barnette, Rod Baker, Jamie Daniel, Stephen Teasley and Johnny and Matt Massingill. Honorary pallbearers include, John Wilson, Jerry, Tommy and Richard Ables, Mike Courson, Raymond Barnett and Mike Smoker.

Mr. Falls will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Thursday) evening beginning at 4 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
