Lillian Jewell Dean Fricks "Lil", age 77, of the Walker Mountain Road, Rome passed away on Tuesday evening, March 26, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Trion, Georgia.

A native of Polk County, Georgia, Mrs. Fricks was born on May 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Paul and Lillie Hovers Hilliard. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a member of the West Rome United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Fricks was associated with Dr. Crawford Brock and Floyd Medical Center as a nurse. Mrs. Fricks was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Dean in November 1971 and on August 6, 1983 was married to Francis Henry "Frank" Fricks who preceded her in death on May 13, 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Hawkins of Trion, GA.; 2 grandchildren, April Michelle Jackson of Summerville and Jonathan Brian Chastain of Warner Robin, GA.; 8 great-grandchildren also survive which include Austin McConnell and Cary Earl Jackson, III; a very special friend like a grandson, Will Sims. 3 step-sons, Mark Frick of Pensacola, Fla., Grant Fricks of San Diego, Calf. And Frank Fricks, Jr. of Roswell, GA.; 1 brother, Donald Hilliard of Emerson, GA.; 4 sisters, Nora Lee LaFluer of Emerson, GA., Mildred Prichitt of Cartersville, GA., Pearl Cabe of Adairsville, GA. and Dean Boswell of Emerson, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Lillian Jewell Dean Fricks "Lil" will be held on Friday afternoon, March 29, 2013, at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Floyd Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Fricks will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friend on Friday from 12 noon until 2 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the home of the daughter in Trion, GA.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Bryon Simms, Sam, Bob, Charles and Gene Hilliard and Eleazar Romo. Honorary pallbearers include Bobby Gene Jones and Walter Hilliard.
