Linda Ann Hughes

Linda Ann Hughes, age 74, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, November 7, 2021, in a local healthcare facility.

Linda was born in Cedartown, GA, on June 14, 1947, daughter of the late William T. “Bill” Colbert and Ruby Estelle Ray Colbert. She grew up in Hazlehurst, GA, graduating from Jeff Davis High School. Linda was a caregiver for many years and enjoyed watching baseball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Marie Marquez.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Linda Marie Hughes of Hazlehurst; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Rhonda Hughes of Glenwood, GA, and Timothy and Jacklyn Hughes of Cave Spring, GA; a brother, Ray Colbert, of El Paso, TX.

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated, and her ashes will be taken back to Hazlehurst.
