Marilyn Margaret Davis

Marilyn M. Davis, age 90 of #21 Albion Drive, SW, Rome passed away early Tuesday morning, August 6, 2013 at Winthrop of Rome.

A native of Englewood, Tennessee, Mrs. Davis was born on August 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Eonley and Sara Jane Bledsoe Miller. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was a member of the Beech Creek United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Davis was associated with Floyd Medical Center as a License Practical Nurse. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. "Mickey" Davis on October 5, 2001. Mrs. Davis was married on April 8, 1944 to Cecil Monroe Davis who preceded her in death on January 10, 1998.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Misti Kettering and her husband, Travis of Adairsville, GA.; her grandson, Michael Davis and his wife, Lissett of Sarasota, Florida; a great-granddaughter, Mia Davis.

Funeral services for Marilyn M. Davis will be held on Friday morning, August 9, 2013, at 11 o'clock in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Charlie Guthridge, Bill Wooten, Al Abernathy and Aubra Davis.

Mrs. Davis will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Thursday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
