Marlene Mull Mathis, age 81, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Marlene was born on October 15, 1940 in Copperhill, TN. Marlene was born to the late Ralph Howard Mull and Evelyn Pauline Parker Mull. Marlene worked in the Sample Department for Marglen for many years. She loved to help other people and spend time with her loving family. Some of Marlene’s hobbies included completing puzzles, crafts and reading every chance she got.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Barbara Mull and Lillian Woodring.

Marlene is survived by a loving family that she cherished. Survivors include her children; Billy and his wife Angela Mathis, Bobby Mathis, Thomas and his wife Jennifer Mathis, Sherrie and her husband Victor Clement, Susie and her husband Ricky King; brother, Raymond (Maxine) Mull; sister, Linda (Charles) Fendley; grandchildren Amy (John) Miller, Rikki (Felisha) East, Kris (Tiffany) Mathis, Nicholas (Meghan) Henderson, Nicole (Harvey) Bishop, Colin Mathis, Rachael (Fred Bull) Smith, Mason Bishop, Madison Lawson; great grandchildren, Ashley Blalock, Addison Blalock, Sayler Mathis, Hunter Jordan, Kason Henderson, Chandler Pruitt, Bryson Pruitt and Riley Pruitt. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.

A private funeral service to honor Marlene will take place at Salmon Funeral Home. Following the private service, she will be cremated according to her wishes.
