Marvin Vincent Thomason

Marvin Vincent Thomason, known affectionately as Vince, age 56, passed away suddenly in an accident on October 21, 2025, in Calhoun, Georgia. He was born on April 7, 1969, in Rome, Georgia.

Throughout his life, Vince exhibited a profound devotion to those around him. He was loving, kind, and cherished by friends and family alike. His educational journey led him to Coosa Valley Technical College, where he honed skills that would serve him well in his career. Vince was employed in the textile industry, working as a laborer for Mannington Carpet Company, where he dedicated years to his profession.

Vince was not only diligent in his work but also had a passion for music that resonated deeply within him. An avid musician, he enjoyed performing in a band, an interest that undoubtedly brought him joy and fulfillment.

Vince is survived by his father, James Thomason; his brother, Jeff Thomason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss his gentle spirit. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Martha Elking Thomason.

A graveside service to honor Vince's memory will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart, Georgia, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Vince's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
