Mary Elanor Kinsey

Mrs. Mary Cowart Kinsey, age 93, of Armuchee, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016.

Mrs. Kinsey was born on April 23, 1922 in Gordon County, the daughter of the late Clarence Leonord Cowart and the late Sarah Louise Smith Cowart. She was a member of the Floyd Springs Baptist Church, where she was member of the Adult Ladies Four Sunday School Class and song in the choir. For a number of years she was associated with Klopman Mills. She loved playing the piano, sewing, flowers, gardening and listening to the Gaithers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gordon Lee Kinsey and by a son, Alford Warren "Pete" Kinsey.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Gilbreath; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, LaVonia Kinsey; 1 sister, Marjorie Thompson; 2 brothers, Harold and Gene Cowart. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Cowart Kinsey will be held on Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2016 at 2 o'clock at the Floyd Springs Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Floyd Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 pm until 2 o'clock.
