Mary June Reese

Mary June Reese, age 68, of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at her residence.

Mary was born in Atlanta, GA, on September 23, 1953, a daughter of the late Cecil Homer Disharoon and Leila Irene Barner Disharoon. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mary enjoyed music and dancing, going to casinos, but mostly spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyle Reese, brother Roger Homer Disharoon and a sister, Ida Lee Disharoon.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Michelle Reese Laffer; sons, Anthony Wayne Reese, Timmy Roy Reese, and William Jeffrey Reese; sisters, Jenny Lee Goodman and Patricia Diane Baker; life partner, Frank Edwards. Four grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mary will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the Alvis Miller Memorial Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Chaplain Marvin Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Kingston City Cemetery.

Mary’s family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
