Mary Louise Kinsey, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Silver Creek, GA. Mary was a dedicated and spirited woman whose life was marked by distinguished military service and deep devotion to her family, community and country. Born on August 1, 1944, in Providence, Rhode Island, Mary led a remarkable life that touched many through her kindness and unwavering commitment.
After completing high school, Mary embarked on a remarkable 32-year career in the United States Air Force, where she served with honor and distinction in various administrative roles. Her entire professional life was devoted to the Air Force, a testament to her loyalty and dedication to her country. Throughout her service, Mary demonstrated the utmost professionalism and grace, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and superiors alike.
Mary was known not only for her professional achievements but also for her vibrant personality. A true social butterfly, she relished opportunities to meet new people and cherished the moments spent with her family and friends. She was especially beloved in her community as a celebrated member of the Red Hat Dancing Club, where she earned the affectionate title of "the queen." Her active lifestyle and joyous spirit were integral to who she was, inspiring those around her to embrace life fully.
She passed away surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and camaraderie. Mary is survived by her son, Harvey Kinsey, and his wife Katherine of Marietta, Georgia; her daughter, Kimberly Ainsworth, and her husband John of Silver Creek, Georgia; and her grandchildren: Patrick Kinsey, Mia Kinsey, Amberly (Zack) Haynie, and Mason McMahon. She also delighted in her great-grandchild, Theodore "Teddy" Haynie. Her family circle extends to her siblings: brothers: James and Robert McLaughlin, and a sister, Arline Oakley, all of whom carry forward her memory with profound love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adeline Hammond McLaughlin, who undoubtedly instilled in her the values that guided her life; brothers: Charles, William, Thomas and Stephen McLaughlin; sisters, Florence Tambini, Joan Cavanaugh and Veronica Olson.
Mary Louise Kinsey’s life was a remarkable journey of service, spirited engagement, and heartfelt connections. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. In reflecting on her life, we remember a woman who embraced every chapter with enthusiasm and grace, always ready to share laughter, wisdom, and love. A Celebration of her life is being planned, once finalized the details will be announced here.
