Mrs. Nadine Smith Whitefield, age 74, of Rome, GA, formerly of Ozark, AL, passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday, December 10, 2020.
Nadine was born in Ozark April 9, 1946, daughter of the late Nade Smith and Rosa Lee Herring Smith. She had been a resident of Rome for the past 2 years, moving here from Panama City Beach, FL. Nadine was a housewife and homemaker who loved working with all kind of flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Carter, and two brothers, Billy Ray Smith and William G. Smith.
Nadine is survived by her husband, James Wesley Whitefield; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Max Lord of Panama City Beach; one son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Lauren Whitefield of Rome; four grandchildren, Dawson Whitefield, Amelia Whitefield, Peter Lord and Sarah Lord. A sister, Shirley Lowery, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with her wishes, Nadine will be cremated, and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
