Nancy Davis
Rogers
May 12, 1956 – March 16, 2026
Nancy Davis Rogers, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved member of the Rome, Georgia community, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suddenly and unexpectedly on March 16, 2026, in her hometown. Born on May 12, 1956, Nancy's life was marked by joy, devotion, and an unwavering love for her family and Faith.
A proud graduate of Model High School, class of 1974, Nancy dedicated her life to nurturing and uplifting children. Her passion for working with youth was evident to all who had the privilege of witnessing her boundless compassion and dedication. Whether teaching Bible School or assisting with Vacation Bible School at Enon Baptist Church, Nancy's love for spreading The Word and kindness was a defining feature of her life. She was known for her Christ-like spirit, committed devotion to her Lord and Savior, and an ever-present positive outlook that touched everyone she met.
Nancy’s personality was as vibrant as it was welcoming. Outgoing and lively, she was a go-getter who found humor and encouragement around every corner. Never one to speak ill of others, she lifted those around her with her warmth and optimism. Her generosity knew no bounds, she would readily offer the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Nancy was also an exceptional homemaker and a gifted cook and baker who delighted in generously sharing her talents with those around her.
Family was the heart of Nancy’s world. She reveled in spending time with her loved ones, especially embracing the joy she found at her grandchildren’s sporting events, never missing a game. Nancy’s love extended through her creation of special “Christmas Bags,” thoughtfully prepared over months and months to bring happiness during the holiday season. She also enjoyed simple pleasures like cutting grass with her push mower, and her enthusiasm for bargain hunting at bin stores, yard sales and thrifting gave her the title "Bargain Queen" among friends and family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jessie Ramsey Davis, and her sisters, Connie Wright and Gloria Wagner.
Nancy is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Bobby Don Rogers of Rome, Georgia, and children: Todd Smith, Timmy Smith and his wife Rachael, and Tonya Smith—all of Rome, Georgia. Her stepchildren, Bradley Rogers and his wife Heather, and Anna Rogers, both of Centre, Alabama, as well as Amanda Lee and her husband Jake of Rome, Georgia are also loving survivors. Nancy’s brothers, Ronnie Davis and his wife Sylvia of Plainville, Georgia, and Dave Davis and his wife Sharon of Rome, Georgia. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren Karlye Alfonso and her husband Warren, Zach Smith and his wife Shelby, Hailey Kriz and her husband Spencer, and Eli Smith, as well as her step-grandchildren: Piper Longino, Gunnar Rogers, Tanner Rogers, Crimson Milican, and Wilson Milican. Nancy was also proud great-grandmother to Emberlynn Johnson and Romee Johnson. She is remembered fondly by her special nephew Johnny Hubbard and his wife Rachelle, along with several other loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation for our dear Nancy will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

To know Nancy was to love her. Her kindness, warmth, gentle, nurturing spirit made everyone feel seen and cared for. She had a way of brightening every room she walked into, never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to call her family or a friend.
While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Nancy's resting peacefully in her Eternal Home with The Lord and her legacy of unconditional love, kindness, selflessness and joy will live on in her family and in the lives she touched.
The Salmon Funeral Home Family is honored to serve and care for one of our own, Mrs. Nancy Davis Rogers, her husband, Bobby Don Rogers and her precious family.
