Owen Garner Brock

Mr. Owen Garner Brock, age 71, of Kingston, GA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Owen was born on May 27, 1950, in Rome, GA, son of the late Garner Norman Brock and Beatrice Fowler Brock. He attended Model High School and had worked with Galey and Lord Industries for over 40 years prior to their closing. Owen later worked with Mohawk Industries and retired in 2014. He loved going camping and fishing, watching NASCAR races and was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Brock.

Owen is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue Laney Brock, whom he married November 1, 1969; brother, Randall Brock; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Ricky Bradford; sister-in-law, Peggy Shipp; brother-in-law, Robert and Kathy Laney, Jr. A host of other relative and friends also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Owen will be cremated and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
