Patricia Annette Irvine

June 6, 1939 — August 15, 2023

Patricia Annette Irvine, affectionately known as Pat, passed away peacefully in Rome, Georgia on August 15, 2023. Born on June 6, 1939, in Calhoun, Georgia, Pat lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends.

Patricia was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. She worked
at Galey and Lord for 40 plus years as an instructor
. Aside from her professional pursuits, Patricia found joy in her hobbies and interests. She had an unwavering love for travel, particularly to the beach and mountains. Exploring new places brought her great happiness and created lasting memories. Patricia was truly an adventurous spirit.

Another passion of Patricia's was cooking and baking. Known for her exceptional culinary skills, she delighted family and friends with delicious meals and scrumptious treats. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and mouth-watering aromas. Patricia's talents as a cook will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of experiencing her cooking. In addition to her culinary skills, Patricia enjoyed shopping for beautiful things that caught her eye. She had an exquisite taste that shone through in everything she chose. Shopping brought her not just material satisfaction but also moments of joy. Patricia was deeply rooted in faith and a faithful member of New Antioch Baptist Church. Her spirituality served as a guiding force throughout her life and provided her with strength during challenging times.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Ewell Juan and Zula Grizzle Greeson; a granddaughter, Sarah Levasseur; and two brothers, Richard Greeson and Eugene Greeson. She is survived by her children: Bobby Hale and his wife Missy of Rome, GA; Sandy Payne of Galesville, AL; Donna Clay and her husband Jim of Rome, GA; Ashley Ward and her husband Josh of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren: Nekia, Shane, Haley, Jessie, Kristine, Kyle, and Rhiannon; 13 great-grandchildren with another one on the way; and a brother, Charles Greeson and his wife Shirley of Newnan, GA. .


A Funeral Service will be held at Salmon Funeral Home on Friday, August 18th at 11:00 AM. Following the Funeral Service, Patricia will be laid to rest at Morning View Cemetery in Rome, Georgia. A visitation will take place at Salmon Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
