Ms. Patsy Kay Witt, age 72, of Rome, GA, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, following an extended illness.
Ms. Witt was born January 15, 1945, in St. Charles, Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph Hayes Smith and Beulah Mae McFarland Smith. Until her retirement Ms. Witt had been employed with Floyd Medical Center in Guest Relations. Ms. Witt had a great love for life and especially her grandchildren; she always enjoyed traveling along with her favorite hobby "shopping".
Ms. Witt is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Lee Maulding, Rome; two sons and daughter-in-law, Terry Smith, Ohio, and Dallas Smith (Connie), Kentucky; one brother, Larry Smith, Michigan; seven grandsons, one granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 4:00 PM in the Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Foley, Chaplain Floyd Medical Center, officiating. The family will gather at Salmon Funeral Home Tuesday where they will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. At other hours they may be contacted at their respective residences.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Ms. Witt's name to your favorite charity.
