Peggie Ridgeway

Peggie Ridgeway, age 78, passed away on October 5, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1946, in Parris Island, South Carolina, and she was a beloved mother, sister, and friend.

Peggie was a nurturing matriarch, deeply devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Olen Ridgeway Sr., her daughter, Marie Parker, and her parents, William C. Hill and Sarah Davis Hill.

She is survived by her three sons, Howell J. Ridgeway and his wife, Tammy, of Tallapoosa, Georgia, Edward Dale Ridgeway and his wife, Leanne, of Cedartown, Georgia, and Roy Ridgeway Jr. of Manning, South Carolina; and her daughter, Stacey Blaker of Ashland, Wisconsin. Peggie also leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and her cherished siblings, James Hughes and his wife, Patricia, of Fayetville, Georgia and Sheila Norton.

Peggie's life was marked by her unwavering love and support for her family and friends. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her legacy of love will continue to resonate through her family.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Red Dam Baptist Church Cemetery in Hardeeville, South Carolina beginning at 3:00 PM.

Peggie will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
