Phillip Dewayne Ward, age 34, of Floyd County, GA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, in Rome. Phillip was born on October 3, 1990, in Cartersville, Georgia.
Phillip dedicated his professional life to construction, where he showcased a talent for building and creating. His passion for his work was evident in every project he undertook, and he approached each task with a diligence and enthusiasm that inspired those around him.
Outside of his career, Phillip was known as a natural jokester. He had an incredible ability to bring joy to others, often lighting up a room with laughter and a contagious sense of fun. His humor and light-heartedness left a significant impact on friends and family alike, making cherished memories that will be fondly remembered.
Phillip appreciated the simple pleasures in life and found joy in listening to music and walking in nature, allowing him to connect with the world around him. His love for his family, particularly his children, was profound and unwavering. He took great pride in being a father to Hailey, Grace, Harlee, Livy, Scarlett, Zacheria, and Jaden.
In addition to his children Phillip is survived by his mother, Barbara Lowe Hendrix (Paul Chilcott); his brother, Daniel Ward, Jr.; his sister, Melissa Ward; several nieces, including Autumn, Aubrey, and Carmen, as well as nephews, Anthony and Daniel. Additionally, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lynn Ward.
In keeping with his wishes, Phillip will be cremated, a formal service is being planned at this time. As soon as the service details are finalized they will be announced here.
