Ralph Lamar Prather

Ralph Lamar "PeeWee" Prather, Sr. age 72, of Reynolds Street, Rome passed away on Friday afternoon, February 15, 2013 at a Rome hospital.

A native of Rome, Georgia, Mr. Prather was born on January 12, 1941, the son of the late Ralph and Lois Turner Prather. Mr. Prather attended Model High School and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Prather was of the Baptist faith and was a retired self-employed painter. He loved his friends at the Huddle House and loved Karaoke. Mr. Prather was married on September 12, 1959 to Linda Mae Childers Prather who preceded him in death on July 24, 2004.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Annette Diane Linze of White Plains, GA. and Sandra Ann Jackson of Kentucky; 2 sons, David Daniel Prather of Clinton, S.C. and Ronald Michael Prather of Spartanburg, S. C.; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive as do 3 brothers, Lee Prather of Rome, Jackie Prather of Winder, GA. and Edward Prather of Buford, GA. Other survivors include, Sharon Gail Prather, Kristin Breez Knowlton and Tobitha Lee Prather. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Ralph Lamar "PeeWee" Prather, Sr. will be private for the family.
