Ralph Wayne Wear, Sr.

Mr. Ralph Wayne Wear, Sr. age 75, of Rydal, GA, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Mr. Wear was born on February 17, 1947 in Rome, GA, to his late parents: Robert Walton Wear and Nannie Lou Wear. Ralph worked in construction for many years and had bravely served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he worked as a B52 Crew Chief. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, The Atlanta Braves, carpentry and being a master gardener. Ralph was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Ray Wear, Robert ‘Bob’ Wear and Ronnie Wear; and his daughter-in-law, Andi Wear.

Mr. Wear is survived by his loving sons: Jeremy Wear of Rome, GA, Nathan (Jackie) Wear of Mentone, AL, and Ralph Wayne (Tammy) Wear, Jr. of Seattle, WA; grandchildren: Chase Thomas Wear of Mentone, AL, Micah Wear of Dallas, GA, Gregory Hill of Seattle, WA and Levi Thomas.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wear will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Salmon Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. The family and friends will meet at Salmon Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 12:00 PM to process to the National Cemetery.
