Raymond Horace Brown, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday night, June 15, 2025.
Raymond was born on May 29, 1956, in Rockmart, Georgia, son of the late Hoyt Lewis Brown and Annie Lou Pierce Chafin. Raymond touched many lives with his warm spirit and engaging personality.
Raymond graduated from Paulding County High School, where he began to lay the foundation for a life filled with diverse interests and experiences. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was honorably discharged, an experience that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and dedication.
Raymond had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. He found joy in watching old western movies and shows, often reminiscing about their timeless narratives. His love for puzzles and word searches became a cherished pastime, through which he embraced challenges with enthusiasm and a sharp mind.
He is survived by his loving brother, Paul Chafin and his wife, Cherie; his sisters, Tammie Naquin and her husband, Duane, and Linda Deems and her husband, Jerry; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and joy.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Lewis Brown and Annie Pierce Chafin, who provided him with a strong foundation of love and values that he cherished throughout his life.
Memorial services for Raymond are being planned and will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
As we honor Raymond's memory, we remember a man who brought light and laughter into the lives of those around him. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, a lasting reminder of the love and warmth he shared with all who knew him.
