Richard Douglas Huseby, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Richard was born on September 9, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Dick Huseby and Ellen Sikes Huseby.

A dedicated employee of General Motors, Richard's hard work and commitment were evident throughout his career. Beyond his professional life, Richard was known for his vibrant spirit and unique sense of humor. He delighted in bringing joy to those around him and was known as a lovable prankster, leaving a smile on the faces of family and friends.

Richard had a profound love for golf and fishing, activities that brought him peace and happiness. Whether enjoying the quietude of nature or the thrill of a golf game, these pastimes were a source of joy throughout his life. Above all, Richard cherished his wife, Phyllis Huseby, whose companionship he valued deeply. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. In addition to his cherished spouse, Richard took immense pride in his grandchildren, who were the light of his life and brought him immeasurable joy.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Phyllis Huseby, who will forever carry his memory in her heart; his son, Ronald "Ron" Huseby and his wife, Nancy; step-daughter, Amy Lynch; and four grandchildren, McKenna, Missy, Amber, and Alex.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Ellen Huseby; his son, William S. Huseby; his granddaughter, Austin Huseby; and brother, Ronnie Huseby.

In accordance to Mr. Huseby's wishes, he will be cremated and at this time there are no services.
