Roger Homer Disharoon

Mr. Roger Homer Disharoon, age 60, of Calhoun, GA, passed away Friday afternoon, August 6, 2021, in a local hospital.

Roger was born in Atlanta, GA, on December 26, 1960, son of the late Cecil H. Disharoon and Irene Barner Disharoon. Prior to becoming disabled, he was associated with Galey and Lord for a number of years. Roger also frequented flea markets where he sold items and was always collecting old coins, knives, and model cars. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden. Roger never met a stranger and was always giving to others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil L. Disharoon, Sr., and two sisters, Finny Disharoon and Ada Lynn Moss.

Roger is survived by four sisters, Jenny Lee Goodman, Mary Reese, Ida Lee Disharoon and Pat (Willie) Baker. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Roger will be Tuesday afternoon, August 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Alvis Miller Memorial Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery.

Roger’s family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
