Sandra Green Banks

Mrs. Sandra Green Banks, age 64 of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rome, Georgia on May 4, 1961, the daughter of the late Martha Puckett Green and the late Walter Green. Sandra was a licensed Practical Nurse and provided compassionate care to her patients. In addition to her professional pursuits, she was a creative individual with a passion for crafting, including quilting and jewelry making. She enjoyed traveling and deep-sea fishing, as well as riding motorcycles with her husband. She also loved playing in league pool tournaments, which was a passion of hers and she won frequently. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea June Young and brothers, Gerald Dodd and Gayland Dodd.

Sandra is survived by her husband who was her high school sweetheart, Steve Banks of Rome; sister-in-law, Julia Dodd of Rome; niece, Alex Dodd; nephew, Andrew Dodd; brother in laws, John Banks of Calhoun and Bruce (Rhonda) Banks of LaFayette.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the family lot at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Rome at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May  15, 2025.
