Shelia Marie Carleton

Ms. Shelia Marie Carleton, age 80, of Plainville, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Shelia was born in Winchester, MA, on January 20, 1938, daughter of the late Frank Nagle Carleton and Margaret Lally Parker Carleton. She had been a resident of Plainville and Floyd County for the past seven years, moving here from Bradenton, FL. Shelia was an accomplished artist, a licensed real estate agent and loved gardening and painting. She was involved with homeless ministries and was always helping others. Shelia was a devoted Christian and had attended several local churches, most recently, Glory Tabernacle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Carleton, and a sister, Ann Carleton.

Shelia is survive d by a daughter, LeeLee Myer of Bradenton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott and Judy Brinckerhoff of Bufford, GA, and Peter Brinckerhoff of Lake Tahoe, NV; three grandsons, Parker, Blake and Chase Myer; one sister, Jane Carleton of Barnstable, MA; three brothers, William "Bill" Carleton of Scottsdale, AZ, John Carleton of Olympia, WA, and Rick Carleton of Cape Cod, MA; a son-in-law, Bruce Myer of Sarasota, FL; and a special friend, Tammy Gore of Plainville.

A memorial reception for Shelia will be held on Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the family room of Salmon Funeral Home.
