Shirley Anne Browner, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in Rome, Georgia, at the age of 77. Born on May 21, 1949, in Buffalo, New York, Shirley’s life journey was marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family and those she cherished. Shirley was a beloved daughter of Gerald and Madeline Fleming McCormick, both of whom preceded her in death.

From her earliest days, Shirley exemplified warmth, kindness and a profound care for those around her. Throughout her years, Shirley found deep fulfillment in the role of wife and mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Wilford Browner, whose memory she honored and kept alive in her words and actions.

Shirley’s presence radiated warmth and inclusivity. She cultivated lasting friendships, created a loving home, and fostered a spirit of generosity that touched everyone she encountered. Her devotion to family was her guiding light; her wisdom and encouragement will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be loved by her. She enjoyed traveling to her lake home in Honeoye, New York each summer and cherished time spent there. Shirley was a gifted quilter, weaving love and skill into every homemade piece.

As a dedicated mother, Shirley’s enduring love was evident in her relationships with her children. She is survived by her sons, Chad (Lesley) Browner of Castle Rock, CO and Todd Browner of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter, Heidi (Ralph) Lamell of Camas Valley, OR; grandchildren: Zach, Jasmine, Amber, Elizabeth, Seth, Haley, and Logan, each of whom brought immense joy and pride into her life; brother, Jerry McCormick; and her sisters, Karen and Cindy. Shirley would have become a first-time great-grandmother on August 22 and was something very special to her and her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bob McCormick. Shirley also carried the memory of her son, a little boy that was never born, close to her heart. Her compassion and faith strengthened her through every chapter, and she faced both joy and heartbreak with courage and grace.

As we remember Shirley Anne Browner, may we honor her memory by embodying the kindness, resilience, and love she extended so generously in her lifetime. Her enduring legacy will live on through all who were privileged to know her.

In accordance with Mrs. Browner's wishes, she will be cremated and at this time there are no services.
