Susan Faith (Green) Hopper

Mrs. Susan Faith Hopper, age 54, of Rome, GA, passed away Sunday evening, December 1, 2019, following a lengthy illness.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Susan was born December 19, 1964, daughter of Glenda Faye Bowman Green and the late Ricky Milton Green. She was a 1982 graduate of Model High School and a 1984 graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College. In her early adult years Susan had worked with Northwest Regional Hospital in the adolescents unit with Floyd County DEFACS for over 12 years. In more recent years she was a housewife and homemaker. Susan enjoyed yardwork, home interiors and cooking but her joy and passion in life was her children and grandchildren. In addition to her father, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bryan Hopper, on December 29, 2007, whom she married April 28, 1988.

Susan is survived by two sons, Erick Hopper (Fianc, Lora Disharoon), and Asthon Hopper; grandchildren, Nathan Hopper, Nicholas Hopper, and Lelia Culberson; mother, Glenda Faye Bowman Green; three sisters, Tracey Dempsey, Scarlett Gazaway and Cindy Harris. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Susan will be Thursday afternoon, December 5, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Susans family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home Thursday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home Thursday by 2:15 p.m. and include Todd Dudley, Blake Dudley, Mark Payne, Jeff Payne, Cody Hughes and T.J. Stroupe.
