Veronica "Ronnee" Tucker

Veronica “Ronnee” Burnes Tucker, age 77, formerly of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Broken Arrow, OK.

Ronnee was born October 20, 1943, in Rome to Oscar Anderson “Shorty” Burnes and Dorothy “Dot” Russell Burnes. She was a graduate of West Rome High School where she participated in the band. She worked in customer service for most of her career.

Ronnee was an active supporter, coach, and leader for her children’s sports teams, theater, and other extra-curricular activities. She loved simple pleasures including visiting with family and friends, genealogy, cross-stitch, handmade gifts, and many other craft activities. Ronnee was well known for her focus and dedication to those she loved, and the hard work ethic, principles, and devotion she instilled in others.

Ronnee is survived by four biological children, Anthony “Tony” Scott Tucker Sr., Carey (Bill) Sinclair, Tina Redden, and Ronald “Rony” Allen (Joanna) Tucker, a grandson she raised as her own, Anthony “Scott” (Jennifer) Tucker, Jr, a brother, Russell (Ellen) Burnes, sister, Edna Burnes Quinn, nine other grandchildren (Kansys (Ben) Redden Heck, Kayla (Kyle) Jones Bevers, Blake Jones, Dakotah Redden, Montanna Redden (Oscar Sanchez), Drake Tucker, Allena Tucker, John Halcomb, Jeffrey Tucker) and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her great-grandchild Linken Charlee Heck, sister Teresa Burnes Lawler, brother-in-law Rae Quinn, her mother, and father.

Funeral services for Ronnee will be Friday, January 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Salmon Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Salmon Funeral Home.
