Violet Dean Collins

Mrs. Violet Dean Collins, age 89, formerly of Rome, GA, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Waynesboro, MS.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Collins was born August 15, 1932, the daughter of the late R. Lee Brock and Edith Odessa O’Neal Brock. She was associated with D&J Manufacturing for a number of years and was a member of Lake View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Buford Collins, on September 23, 2002, whom she married June 4, 1950.

Mrs. Collins is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Larry Waller; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven Earl and Cathy Collins. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Collins will be buried next to her husband at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. No formal service is planned at this time.
