Steve Miller

Steve is the oldest child of Alvis and Doris Miller. He is a 1971 graduate of Rockmart High School and a 1986 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Steve and his parents have owned and operated the funeral home since October 1, 1981. He is married to the former Claudene Hutchings and they have three children: Amber, Chris and Chet.

Chris has grown up and lived in Rockmart all of his life. He is the oldest son of Steve and Claudene Miller. Chris went to Rockmart High School and was very active in sports during school. He graduated from RHS in 2005. He then attended Georgia Highlands College where he received his Associates Degree in Business Administration. Chris then attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service where he graduated as the Valedictorian of his class in August 2008.He is a Master Mason and a member of Rockmart Lodge #97 F&AM. He is also a member of the Rockmart Kiwanis Club and is a Past President of the club. Chris is married to the former Kristen Gillespie and they have one daughter, Kinley Claire Miller who was born on April 11, 2012.

Norman Smith

Norman was raised in Cedartown, GA were he continues to reside. Norman has been associated in the funeral business since 1999. He is a graduate of the funeral service program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama and is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Norman is married to the former Lori Estes of Rockmart and they have two children Anna-Lauren and Sam. They are devoted members of Cedartown First United Methodist Church. He joined our staff in January of 2015.

Ray Miles

Ray Miles compliments the Salmon Funeral Home Staff as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Ray was born in Dalton, GA, and moved to Rome in 1992, He began in the funeral service in 1995 with Jennings Funeral Home. He was an Honors graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, where he was a member of the Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity and served as the Chaplain. Ray is no stranger to the families of Rome and North Georgia, as he has served as manager and funeral director at Jennings Funeral Home and Fred Talley Funeral Home. While in Rome, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, serving as Chairman of the Small Business Action Council several times. Ray also hosted Hymns of the Christian Faith radio program and Gospel Music Homestyle TV program. He is an ordained minister and loves traveling and enjoys spending time with family, especially his three great-grandchildren.
